'Mi Casa es su Casa': 奥门开彩开奖结果 Hosts Hispanic Heritage Month Events
The 奥门开彩开奖结果 鈥 Fort Smith once again invites students, faculty, staff, and the community to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 鈥 October 15) with five free events for all to enjoy.
Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates Latin American countries鈥 independence and is a time to honor their history and culture proudly. For Catherine Gonz谩lez, TRIO Upward Bound Classic Coordinator, the month is a time to reflect on her own family鈥檚 journey from El Salvador to the United States and the journey of others who have followed a similar path.
鈥淔or me, it鈥檚 about the sacrifice people have made to come to this country and all the hard work that they鈥檝e done. We have a month that we鈥檒l dedicate toward them, celebrate them, and overall, help make this place home,鈥 she said.
"Mi casa es su casa," said Cristina Castorena, the assistant director for financial aid client services. "Hispanic Heritage Month at 奥门开彩开奖结果 is built very much that way. It's a tight knit community that opens its home for anyone to come in."
